In response to the privatization audit by the City and County of Denver’s Auditor’s Office, any budget proposals to privatize city services as defined by the City and County of Denver’s Policy on Privatization were required to complete a privatization analysis. The Mayor’s Budget will identify any approved request to privatize city services. As part of the 2017 budget process, there were no submissions for privatization.

Beginning in 2014, the Budget in Brief replaced the Citizen's Budget. The Budget in Brief provides a high-level overview of the annual budget and highlights significant changes and accomplishments citywide.
